We have arrived! I meant to post yesterday, however excuse the pun, I was “uber” exhausted. Not just physically but mentally too, usually by the time you get to the airport there is a sense of excitement, for me even by the time I got on the plane I was so emotionally drained it didn’t even feel like I was on holidays. My plan of getting some sleep on the plane didn’t quite work out either, since my seat-mate kept talking to me, and when I did try and get some sleep a baby cried for nearly 3 hours, so needless to say I hardly had any sleep!
I arrived in Paris with only 5 hours of sleep in 2 days, but I was pretty lucid in the cab ride over to my hotel! When I started see the architecture of paris, Notre Dame, and the cobblestone streets of the latin quarter, I can really say that’s when I felt like I was in Paris, let alone Europe! Even in the first 25 mins of the car ride, I could really see why so many people flock to Paris, and love the city! I checked into the hotel, but the room was going to be ready for a few hours, and Anna was still about 1.5-2 hours from arriving so I decide to walk around and take some pictures:
As you can see the weather here is Les Miserables. Lots of snow very cold, and extremely wet, both Anna and I got soaked to the bone yesterday with all the snow, and it was not fun. But this is to be expected when travelling in December, didn’t stop us from visiting Luxemburg Gardens, and the Pantheon, of which I only took pictures of the Pantheon with the gigantor snowflakes. I thought I left the snow in Toronto!
Okay off to see the Eiffel Tower and more things in Paris, I’ll post again before I leave. Hope all you guys are all doing well and having fun!
