A few days late with my post from Wisconsin, but I guess better late than never! The trip over here was thankfully uneventful, except for the crazy thunderstorms on Saturday that threaten to ground the plane. Lucky me my pilot decided to fly through it, and into a lot of turbulence 😐 But on the plus side, my layover in Minneapolis was great, very nice airport with lots to do so I didn’t notice my two hour layover.
Some pictures from my cottage:
Rhinelander was a different story, it has only one gate with one carosel, it was interesting to say the least. My stay at Dillmans resort in Lac Du Flambeau, WI has been awesome though! Tremendously nice people, awesome food, this has probably been one of my more relaxing holidays of the year! And on a ‘what a small world’ note, I’m in the middle of Wisconsin doing a watercolour workshop, lots of people from all over the country, but of course I had to meet someone fro RBC! One of the women in the other workshop is from the Caribbean, and of course works for RBC, although she seemed a little frightened after I told her I worked for AML Compliance.
Painting has been fun, but seeing the quality artists at this workshop has me realize that I still have a lot to learn! Given the insane amount of information I’ve had to digest I think it’s starting to sink in, here’s one of the pictures:
I was pretty happy with it, this one will be framed and given to my brother for encouraging me to attend this thing! Hope everyone is keeping well, see you guys in a few days!
